Language support

Medical interpretation that keeps meaning intact.

From your first document to your discharge summary — the words that make Chinese healthcare work in your language.

Why it matters

In China, good medicine usually speaks Chinese.

Some specialists speak English, and international departments are easier to navigate. But many of the country's leading experts consult in Chinese, and hospitals issue their documents in Chinese. Interpretation is the difference between understanding your plan and hoping it was understood for you.

Documents hospitals accept

Your records are translated and summarized into a proper clinical file — in the format and terminology Chinese departments expect — before anything is submitted.

A person, not an app

A qualified interpreter accompanies you to consultations, tests, admission, and discharge. Translation software is fine for finding a restaurant; it is not fine at a tumor board.

Understanding afterwards

Findings, instructions, and the discharge summary come back to you in English — for you, your family, and the doctor who continues your care at home.

Scope

What interpretation covers — and what stays with the doctors.

Clarity about the boundary is part of the service. If you need something not listed, ask — we will confirm scope and cost in writing.

Included as part of coordination

  • Translation of English medical records into Chinese
  • A clinical summary prepared in the format hospitals expect
  • Professional interpretation at outpatient visits, tests, admission, and discharge
  • Interpreter support during remote consultations

What we do not do

  • We do not give medical advice or add to what your doctor says
  • We do not change, soften, or editorialize clinical documents
  • Languages other than English are arranged case by case
  • We are not a legal or certified translation agency for non-medical purposes
  • Interpretation is part of a coordinated case — not sold as a stand-alone service
Languages

English is standard. Others are confirmed first.

The international departments we work with often support patients in several languages. For every case, one rule applies: we confirm who will interpret at each appointment before you travel — and it is written into your plan.

In another language? If your records — or your conversations — are in Arabic, Russian, Spanish, Mongolian, or another language, tell us at first contact. We confirm interpreter and translation availability before you commit to anything.
Quality

Three things that keep interpretation accurate.

Medical interpreting fails when the person in the room does not know the case, the terminology, or the hospital. We organize so that none of those happen.

Same file, same person

The interpreter in the room is usually the one who translated your records. They know your history, your terminology, and what your doctor has already seen.

Prepared before the visit

Key questions and your doctor's notes are discussed before the appointment. On the day, your interpreter arrives early and handles registration and counters, so the visit itself runs calm.

Confidential by duty

Translation and interpretation providers work for SinoMedBridge under confidentiality obligations. Your records are shared only as your care requires — never beyond it.

Practical questions

Before you rely on it.

Can a family member interpret instead?
Many patients start that way, and it can work for simple visits. But medical Chinese is technical, and stakes are real. A professional interpreter also frees your family to listen, comfort you, and ask their own questions — instead of standing at the door translating.
Do I need an interpreter for a remote consultation, too?
Yes — and it is included. The interpreter joins your video or phone consultation and interprets both ways, so the specialist's plan and your questions arrive intact.
What if my records are not in English?
Tell us the language at first contact. English is our standard pair; for other languages we confirm translation and interpreter availability before anything else moves.
Can I get documents translated for insurance purposes?
Yes, as part of coordination. Itemized invoices and an English discharge summary are prepared to support claims. If a specific document needs an official-stamp translation, tell us early so we can build it into the plan.
Is interpretation available on its own?
Interpretation is part of a coordinated case. If you are already in China and need language support around a specific hospital visit, contact us — if we can help, we will scope and quote it in writing.
Ready when you are

Tell us your language. We will build the plan around it.

Every coordinated case includes professional interpretation and record translation. Start with a free case review and see exactly what your plan would include.

No obligation. We will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.
